It was a really good episode this week. Interesting photo shoot and a lot more house footage of the girls. Almost everyone seems really cool in the house. I was a little disappointed that Kahlen seemed so uptight, since she is one of my favorites.I understand she wants to be professional and not as rowdy as brittney but she looked like she wasn’t having any fun in the restaurant. Oh well. Their challenge in this episode was to go to a Cover Girl party and let their “inner beauty” show. I thought most of them did a good job. Tiffany was just weird in the party and kept to herself and Michelle wore this really unflattering dress and kept to herself. Keenyah won the challenge and picked Brittany to share her prize, which was staying at a 5 star hotel and getting a full VIP treatment- breakfast in bed, champagne, spa treatments, hanging out at the beach and getting to show up late for their photo shoot.

The Photo Shoot this episode was for a sexy mechanic at a gas pump. It was a fun concept, and I thought it was a great idea, but I could not see how it was a high fashion shoot. Tyra and judges always go on about how high fashion is so different from everyday pedestrian posing , but the shoot idea was something more in line for a calendar rather than a high fashion photo shoot. I just wish Tyra would make up here mind and stick to it. However despite this little inconsistency the photos all turned out really well and I think the girls enjoyed the shoot because it was a little difference.

Finally the girl that got sent home was Lluvy,because once again she had a bad pic and this was her 3rd time in the bottom two.

1) Brittany: She is still at the top,cuz she took a good pic and was really entertaining during the whole episode. If she wants to stick around, she probably should listen to everyone’s advice and tone it down a little. But I think even if she gets eliminated, I don’t think she will have too much trouble getting work in the modelling world.

2)Naima: She did not get a lot of airtime during this episode, but she seemed relaxed and looked like she was having fun at the restaurant and her pic was quite good. I don’t understand why Tyra thought the pic was too raunchy, I don’t think anyone else thought it was raunchy

3)Keenyah: She goes up the list a little cuz she seems more fun than Kahlen. THe judges were right , her pic could have been better

4) Kahlen: Great Pic! SHe needs to relax a little

5)Tatiana: I really like her picture with the tire, it was very creative and different.

6) Christina: Once again , she is solidly in the middle, she is not bad, but not great. I didnt really like her pic.

7) Becky: Strictly Okay! I think opposite of Tyra. I think her face looked good in the pic, and her body pose was a little too raunchy for “high fashion”

8) Tiffany: I didn’t really like Tiffany’s pic, but she is so weird and funny, she kept pulling down all the girls pants, when they would goof around. It was cute but it seemed like she was in grade school

9) Michelle: I really tried to give her a chance this episode, cuz i felt a little bad about the face eating bacteria thing, but in her picture she looks really frightening. I knew she was in it for the “pity” factor, when Tyra said “something about her tugs at my heartstrings” She is not the next shandi tyra and she does not tug at the viewers heartstrings

Eliminated: Lluvy, I felt a little bad for her, but I think she knew her time was up.

Next weeks preview looks interesting becuse it has Tyra yelling at some girl to “be quiet”, my guess is its either Brittany or Keenyah! I guess we’ll see!

I am afraid of fat. Of fat people, of being obese, of validating fat in any way. I am very acceppting about all sorts of other differences- race, gender, social status, blah blah.

i am terrified, if I praise obesity, i might accept it and then, i might become obese.

Why has our culture automatically linked fat = ugly. When I tell J, ” I feel fat today” he replies, “you are not fat, you are beautiful.” Why is that mutually exclusive? Why do i believe it? Why do I think if we keep telling ourself fat is beautiful or accept your body to women who are above a size 12, we are condoning something evil.

i know its not evil, I am just terrified. Thats why I watch ANTM, and other shows on TV with pretty people and I read the newsstand magazine, to validate my fears.

BTW today I feel fat!

Last night I saw Black at Galaxy Cinemas in Cary, and the movie was really touching. Its loosely based on the life of Hellen Keller, but this time it focuses on Michelle Mcnally, a 8 year old girl in Shimla India, who is deaf and blind and her teacher, who helps her communicate with the world. The story shows how she overcomes all sorts of obstacle and finally is able to get her degree. The movie also focuses on the teacher student relationship, and a role reversal that takes place when the teacher gets acute alzheimers and can’t remember words and their meanings and she tries to teach him everything he taught her. It

My friend and I were both crying really hard towards the end of the movie. It really helps put all my troubles in perspective, they all seem very minor compared to someone who lives in total darkness.The lighting and sets and costume were also really good. I loved the big house that Michelle lived in with her parents .

I ate a lot of junkfood last night though, my dinner was movie theater popcorn and candy. And I don’t even like popcorn. Oh well…

I’m being good for lunch today. So it should make up for it!

Last night was great!!! We were still in vacay mode, so we had a really special dinner- Garlic Bread, Shrimp and Krab Greek Salad , with White wine and i made mini strawberry shortcakes. It was really yummy. AAAAAAGGGGG!!!!

This week my resolution is to eat lunch from home 3 days a week. Today I brought lean cuisine and strawberries!!! I’m getting J into this eating lunch from home mode. Maybe with all our savings we can take another trip!!!

We also went to the playground by our house and hung out till midnight, which was a really bad idea,cuz we didn’t make it out of bed till 8:30 and didn’t get out of the house till 9. From tonight, i’m going to be better!

I am supposed to go see a movie tonight, but I’m getting there kinda early so I think I might buy myself a yummy indian dinner!

My shoulder hurts so bad from kickboxing last night…….AAAAAAAAAAA!!! Also I absolutely can’t think of my instructor as hot anymore!!! Even though he is still ambigiously gay, I think he just crossed over more into the gay territory. No 6’+ man should ever , i mean under no cirmustances, wear short shorts!!!! It was terrible, I couldn’t concentrate on my moves, cuz I wanted to giggle everytime I saw his butt!!!! Ha ha ha

ANTM was pretty good last night. I am really upset that they cut Brandy, cuz I don’t think she was that much bitchier than the other girls and I really liked her bone structure and she took great photographs, even when she looked pissed. The good thing about this episode was that I felt that they showed a good balance of photo shoots and just the interaction between the girls. They had 2 photo shoots, one was while playing tennis and the other was where they had to be signs of the zodiac. The latter was kinda hit or miss with me, cuz some the girls had awesome outfits and hair and some of them had ugly red claws !!!

Anyway here is the list, from most fave to least fave

Naima: She is still at the top for how cool she looks. I was a little surprised at the picture, cuz it was a lame pose

Brittany: Yaaay!!! Brittany is back!!!! I think the judges are also really impressed with her improvement and her picture was very good in capturing the “mood” of sagittarius

Kahlen: Her aries was really good. Also I think she is fairly consistent in taking good pics. Because of her confidence issues, she reminds me a little of Shandi, kinda shy and silly and goofy

Keenyah: Well maybe I was wrong last week and her photos weren’t a fluke!!! I liked her pic this on this shoot and the judges liked it too. I just don’t get her weird hairdos during the confessionals

Tatiana: She got good feedback again from the judges and had a decent pic. Also got more air time, which probably indicates she will be around for a while

Christina: Good Pic! No airtime, so hard to tell as usual. She did get some flak from Beverly Johnson about her lips and how she should get them from the dermatologist’s office, which was pretty funny.

Becky: Didn’t get a lot of air time this episode, since she took up a fair amount last week. Her picture was good but I think the judges are not that impressed with her.

Tiffany: She is starting to get on my nerves, because she constantly talks about her “transformation” sort of like Amanda who would not shut up about her “blindness”. Also the whole getting drunk and throwing up in the restaurant was gross. But she is improving as a model. Seems like Tyra has to fight to keep her from the bottom two though

Lluvy: Lame pic! I dont’ think she is that cute, but pleasant.

Noelle: I think she and Michelle should have been the bottom two. She hasn’t really improved her coctail waitress look and it doesnt’ look like she is trying too hard. And her Leo pic was awful, she looked like a declawed cat , instead of a lion! Maybe I am pissed of , kinda like Jay Manuel, cuz I am a leo too.

Michelle: Why is she still on this show??? Her pic was okay! She looks like a man and walks like a man and even one of the judges said she looks like Jay Leno! Also next week she supposedly gets a bacterial outbreak on her face…which looks so gross!!! If she ends up winning this competition , I am going to stop watching this show!

Brandy: Eliminated. I still don’t think she should have gone. Besides Tyra , its not America’s next sweetheart, its america’s next top model. I don’t think Tyra Banks would have been hired to be a model if she was a super sweet but took awful pictures. I can see how personality would come into play, if all things were equal, but they were not equal. All of Brandy’s pics looked great and she has real model potential because she looks so striking! And Lluvy only had one good pic and she looks more like a cute and fun girl next door , not model.

Hope the next episode is good! I am super annoyed that they haven’t updated the photo gallery at the main site yet.

Its going to new task episode on apprentice and its going to be hard to pick who I’d want to get fired. I guess Stephanie, cuz she is a backbiting snake, but if anyone else got fired, I would be sad:(
